Michael - Cofounder and Supervisor

Michael’s background is in dance and musical theatre. After training full time at one of London’s most prestigious dance colleges for 3 years, he left to join a ballet/contemporary company touring the world.  After working all over the world on 4 continents, he gained the reputation of an accomplished choreographer, creative director, and producer. 

Some of his clients have included Helene Fischer, Starlight Express, Queen, VW, Porsche, McFit, to name a few.  

  • Since retiring from showbiz in 2017 and studying to become an accredited executive and life coach and fitness trainer, Michael has made it his mission to bring as much value to others’ life as possible. His vision for doing this is by combining together mindset and movement. 

    Michael is best known for supporting a community of over 10,000 people through live streaming fitness classes from his kitchen during the pandemic. He is also a professional speaker and has worked with some of the biggest fitness brands around (John Reed, John and Jane’s, Nike, McFIT, VAHA) 

    FEEL THE BARRE has been a dream of Michael’s for a long time. His top value is ‘impact’ and his vision and goals are wholly based around this value. Through the discipline of barre, he wants to have an impact on as many people as possible, but not just through the form and technique of the movement, but also by the power of community and connection. 

    Michael has unmatched energy and motivational skills, attention to detail and kick-ass classes! Nobody will be able to do what he can!

Fabian - Cofounder and Supervisor

Fabian is an accomplished dancer, choreographer, and a resident coach at the world-renowned  Flying Steps Academy in Berlin. He is also a passionate barre teacher and educator. Led by Michael and with an unmatched eye for good form and technique, expect to feel supported at the highest level.

Fabian is known and loved for his support and openness in class. Creating a safe space for all of his class attendees, you will feel completely at ease to ask questions about anything related to barre and technique.

Emilie- Barre Trainer

Coming all the way from New Zealand and combining her experience as a professional dancer with a strong passion for movement and holistic wellbeing, Emilie is dedicated to helping others discover the joy of mindful yet powerful exercise.

  • Dancing since the age of six in the various genres of contemporary, jazz, and classical ballet, Emilie continued her training with full time dance and teaching education in Australia, and furthered her dance studies in Berlin.

    Drawing on her extensive knowledge in the dance world, Emilie has a great understanding of the importance of strength, posture, flexibility, and injury prevention, in order to foster a deeper connection between body and mind, and to sustain a happier and healthier life!

    Focusing on grace, precision, and poise, Emilie can’t wait to guide you through dynamic classes that challenge, honour and celebrate your body at FEEL THE BARRE!

Hannah - Barre Trainer

Hannah comes from the UK and has a lifetime of movement experience as a professional dancer, having trained at a top conservatoire and performing across London and Berlin.

  • After discovering the benefits of cross training through barre and pilates to expand her own practice, she now shares her passion for movement as a tool to connect to the body and mind.

    Her clases have a strong focus on proper alignment and details, whilst always building up some fire and sweat!

    Hannah believes that through physical challenge and pushing our limits in the studio, we can reach our greatest potential and expand our capabilities in all areas of our lives.

    Expect some fun combinations, challenge, and a post-barre glow!

Carolin  - Barre Trainer

Carolin is a trained psychological consultant and personal trainer with many years of experience as a trained stage actress. Carolin approaches fitness and personal development holistically.

For Carolin, a healthy and fulfilled life on all levels means being in harmony with the body, mind, and soul. This is what she stands for and she really practices what she preaches. Carolin is a stick of dynamite and has a laser eye for form and technique, so you are in the best hands! But be warned - she has been named the Pulse Queen by our community, so prepare to feel the burn…

Sara - Barre Trainer

Sara is a former contemporary dancer, educated in a professional dance academy in both ballet and modern. During her career she neared herself to many forms of training and movement expression, that led her to get certified as Vinyasa Yoga, Pilates, Reformer instructor and Barre Trainer.

Movement for her is not just a word, but a life philosophy, an opportunity to connect to our true selves and find our balance in life.

  • With her bursting energy and Italian origins, she’ll talk you through the journey of technique and training satisfaction with words and hands.

    Some say her classes are really strong and will make you so, so what are you waiting for? Come and join her at the barre, she’ll welcome you with a smile.

Petra- Barre Trainer

Petra is a trained professional dancer from Sweden, with a background in ballet and contemporary dance. 

Having studied in both London and Berlin she has developed a great passion for movement that drives her commitment to teaching and sharing her knowledge. 

  • She combines a focus on technique, alignment, and strength in an energetic and supportive environment, creating a fun and safe space where everyone can explore their potential and embrace the joy of movement.

    Petra is dedicated to guiding each session with energy, focus and care - whether you are new or experienced, she will support you in your journey, making you feel your best!

Mónica - Barre Trainer

Mónica Lima is a passionate dancer and educator from Lisbon with an extensive international career. She trained at top institutions in Madrid, London, Cannes, and Toronto, and was a principal dancer with New York Theatre Ballet, earning acclaim for her performances at venues like Carnegie Hall and Tanglewood.

  • An experienced educator, she taught at the School of New York Theatre Ballet, specializing in young children and adult beginners, and developed programs blending dance and technology for middle school boys.

    Now based in Berlin, Mónica continues to teach and perform.

Lea - Barre Trainer

Lea is passionate about movement as a way of life—a philosophy she embodies wholeheartedly. A former professional gymnast, she has explored a wide variety of sports, building the expertise and depth of knowledge she applies in her training today. For Lea, working out is not just about physical fitness; it’s a journey of self-discovery and personal growth.

  • As a Berlin-based trainer, Lea is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space for her clients. She believes in providing the freedom and encouragement needed to unlock each individual’s potential and embrace growth. Lea’s approach emphasises the importance of daily learning and self-awareness, empowering individuals to recognise their bodies as powerhouses and giving them the tools to thrive.

Liam - Barre Trainer

As a classically trained ballet dancer, Liam moved to Berlin in 2012 to start his professional dance career at the Friedrichstadt-Palast. He has since danced his way through musical theater, opera, arena tours, television, and film, coming to deeply appreciate the importance of maintaining a healthy and resilient body. As such, Liam loves being able to share his knowledge and passion for ballet, dance, and fitness and has been teaching barre for various companies since 2019. In his view, having a strong body is great, but having a strong community is unbeatable!

Carol  - Barre Trainer

Carol is someone whose life has always been filled with the passion for dancing and movement. She started dancing ballet at the age of 4 and kept on dancing for 14 years, honing her skills and nurturing her love for the art form at a ballet academy.

  • Alongside her ballet training, it was through Yoga and Pilates that she discovered the perfect synergy with her classical background, immersing herself in barre classes and further enriching her connection to her body and spirit.

    As a Trainer, Carol’s classes prioritize a welcoming and warm atmosphere. Expect her sessions to be brimming a sense of joy and fun, providing a safe space for both your body and soul to flourish. By the end of each class, you'll walk away feeling rejuvenated, deeply attuned to yourself, and of course feeling incredible!
